SUMMARY
The IT Business Analyst will partner with business stakeholders across the organization to build out business process mapping that will be leveraged by nearly every part of the organization as it moves forward in its growth model. He/she will create documentation on business processes surrounding finance, supply chain, field operations, customer engagement, and more. The BA will seek to understand the business current processes, create workflow diagrams and documentation, and deliver this to other members of the IT organization to solution how these processes tie into existing and new technology and platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Interface with key business stakeholders and SMEs to analyze and define existing business processes and build out the supporting formal documentation (business process maps, workflow diagrams, etc.)
– Utilize expertise to identify areas of improvement and provide best practice recommendations on how to set up these workflows and platforms moving forward
– Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate these into functional specifications
– Communicate between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure that the technology solutions being delivered are meeting the requirements
– Support the Project Manager in delivering project plans on time and on-budget

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION and KNOWLEDGE:
– Experience testing and mapping various business processes
– Experience creating formal technical and functional documentation including, but not limited to, Business Process Maps, Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Workflow Diagrams, Architecture Diagrams, Use Case Diagrams, etc.
– Proven ability to communicate technical and functional information across stakeholders, technical teams, and cross functional teams
– Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role in an enterprise level environment
– Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile processes and methodologies.
