– Build and strengthen relationships with assigned Consulting and Design Engineers in the specific market.
– Manage all aspects of new business development with those engineers including getting company VRV and other assigned company products designed and listed on job specifications.
– Maintain and strengthen the relationship with the local company sales representatives to ensure achievement of sales and market share goals.
– Determine sales and technical training needs for the engineers and execute the plan to deliver those needs.
– Develop a comprehensive understanding of customers missions, capabilities, and business posture.
– Call on assigned engineers to develop long-term relationships which result in company specifications for commercial and residential HVAC jobs.
– Take action to ensure business development goals are being executed and measured.
– Conduct business development through direct contact with engineers.
– Identify technical requirements and project scope, then utilize company resources to assist engineers in designing jobs.
– Closely work with the company Rep Account Managers to develop and track jobs to make sure company wins those jobs.
– Work with the Rep Sales Engineers to communicate details and appropriate information to help ensure company and the Sales Reps win the job.
– Perform extensive market analysis including competition, local codes, market trends and additional information that will help company and the Sales Reps fully understand the market dynamics and what is needed to compete and win.
– Maintain full tracking and reporting of all activities including customer contacts, jobs being worked on, status of those jobs and any additional information deemed appropriate by supervisor.
[Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in Business or related field required (or equivalent work experience)
Minimum Experience: 4 years of experience as a Sales Engineer for HVAC equipment, including mini-splits, packaged units and VRV with a high-volume HVAC manufacturer; including 4 years of experience preparing technical proposals and reports, as well as providing engineering, product and technical support to engineers and sales representatives.
Valid Texas Drivers License required (30 – 40% of domestic travel required)
Shift: Full Time / Days
Pay Details: $66,000 – $75,000 annually
