Job Summary/Basic Function

About This Role:

This position supports the Records & Registration office by maintaining and updating student demographic records and managing registration processes. Some of the key responsibilities include, maintaining and processing changes to student demographic information, such as name, address, date of birth, social security number and phone number. Assisting with registration tasks, including drops, adds, and withdrawals and providing support for the grading process as needed.

What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities:

Customer service representative for Records & Registration.

Provide In-person assistance.

Handle departmental queue telephone calls.

Respond to departmental emails.

Field questions and direct inquiries from students and staff to appropriate areas within the department.

Student Demographic Information Maintenance by updating the following:

Name.

Address.

Date of Birth.

Social Security Number.

Phone Number.

Immunization Records Maintenance records for bacterial meningitis and tuberculosis requirements and process incoming student records related to these immunization requirements.

Processing Change Requests by handling requests such as:

Change of Major.

Change of Minor.

Change of Concentration.

Providing directions and varying information to students and campus visitors.

Registration and grading assistance by assisting with the registration process including drops, adds, and withdrawals and supporting the grading process as needed.

Team Collaboration with the Records and Registration team members to cover daily tasks and duties, while providing backup support for other offices, including transcripts, graduation and online student services.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily sedentary, involving sitting most of the time.

Occasionally requires moving about inside narrow storage closets and cabinets.

Occasionally involves lifting, carrying, or loading boxes and other equipment weighing 20 pounds from or to heights of 3-4 feet.

Job Conditions:

Work schedule will be from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

Additional hours or weekends will occasionally be required for graduation fairs and commencement ceremonies.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

At least 2 years of proven experience in customer service and computer-related tasks, ideally in an office setting, call center, or help desk.

Proficiency in data entry and the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook & Excel) is essential.

Strong organizational, communication, time management and interpersonal skills are required.
