We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for an opportunity at a manufacturing plant in Manor, TX. This detail-oriented individual will be an important team player in creating a productive and efficient work environment. This position reports to the Logistics Manager.
Load and unload trucks.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms and warehouse.
Inspect incoming materials, verify quantities per packing list and notify proper individuals of defects or discrepancies.
Mark and label containers, tag, or products.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in designated locations.
Notify buyer of any part shortages for reorder.
Perform inventory cycle counts.
At least 2-3 years of experience in receiving, shipping or inventory control – preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating manual and electric pallet jacks is a plus.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Able to communicate in English, both verbally and written.
Basic knowledge of mathematics.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move or lift, up to 50 pounds.
Stand for eight (8) or more hours per day.
Frequent walking, climbing, bending, squatting, crouching, standing, turning/twisting, extending arms to reach, etc.
Climb ladders and stairs.
Ability to work with arms at shoulder level for extended periods of time.
Able to work in dusty, small, noisy, hot, and cold environments.
Specific vision abilities required for this job include near, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Schedule: 6am-4:30pm with OT as needed.

Responsibilities
At least 2 years of experience in receiving, shipping and/or inventory control – preferably in a manufacturing environment
Load and unload trucks.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms and warehouse.
Inspect incoming materials, verify quantities per packing list and notify proper individuals of defects or discrepancies.
Mark and label containers, tag, or products.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in designated locations.
Notify buyer of any part shortages for reorder.
Perform inventory cycle counts.
Review new bills of material, pull parts from inventory, and complete required paperwork.
Distribute material and transfer material as required from stores to manufacturing.
Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
Pack/Box/Pallet all outgoing orders.
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met.
Make all labels for shipping including shipping labels for pallets, bill of lading, FedEx labels, packing slips.
Generate quotes, orders, and invoices for customers in a timely and accurate manner, as needed.
Prepare purchase orders for parts and services, as needed.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Storeroom maintenance – sweep, clean, minor repairs, paint.
Errands – Trips to hardware store, pick up parts from local vendors.
Perform special assignments and other duties as required.
