Early Head Start Teacher

EHS Teachers are responsible for performing quality teaching and learning services for children by providing a successful, safe and supervised environment that promotes the social, emotional, physical, language and cognitive development of all children. In addition, teachers cultivate healthy relationships with their families. Teachers must follow federal, state and local standards for child care centers as well as work collaboratively with other staff members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field and
previous teaching experience with infants or toddlers; related degrees must
include coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education;
and college transcripts must be submitted to determine relevance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must pass background check and must have high school diploma or GED
Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) or one year state awarded
Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate and previous teaching experience with infants/toddlers
Must be certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid within 30 days of employment
Need intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Office, internet use, data entry and email
Pay based on experience and educational background
