Entry Level Water Resource Engineer
Jacobs
As global demand for water and environmental stewardship intensifies, solving the world’s most complex water challenges demands different thinking – and that’s where we come in. At Jacobs, we are driven by our passion for making the world a better place by providing our clients with sustainable and meaningful solutions.
We are looking for the best and brightest talent to join our Colorado Water Resources team. An ideal candidate will be someone who can use their passion and apply it to today’s challenges, while reinventing tomorrow. Our water resources team serves the top clients in the Denver metropolitan area and along the Colorado Front Range. Our team supports clients like the Mile High Flood District, Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority, City of Aurora, City and County of Denver, City of Fort Collins, City of Boulder, and more, in addition to supporting our internal transportation and conveyance practices.
As a valued Jacobs employee, you will work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful projects. Youll have the opportunity to work on hydrologic and 1D/2D hydraulic modeling, stormwater conveyance design, floodplain modeling and mapping, river and ecosystem restoration, dams, and reservoirs, and many other water-related projects. Our projects include all phases, including planning studies and master plans, modeling, alternatives evaluations, preliminary and final design, decision modeling and optimization, cost analysis, permitting, land acquisition, services during construction, and more.
Every member of our team supports business development efforts and helps in the pursuit of new projects. Our team members work directly with clients on the projects and tasks that they are leading to develop long-term client relationships. At Jacobs, you can design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed.
If you want to become an expert in your engineering discipline, look no further. Opportunities abound to learn from our senior staff, who are experts in the industry, with the intent that one day you will assist with team building and mentoring of younger engineers as you grow in your own career.
Jacobs is supportive of the new future of work, with the flexibility to work remotely while still working closely with your team. Expectations may vary depending on location. While hybrid working is commonplace at Jacobs, our Colorado Water Resources team is looking for candidates local to the Colorado Front Range and Denver metropolitan area.
