Our facility in Highlands Ranch, CO has an immediate opportunity for a mid-career Program Planner to join our mission. In this role, you will support the Consumer Civil Space (CCS) line of business with planning and operations support for short and long-term tasking. You will support a program in close contact with program leadership supporting, modeling, and presenting schedule changes, emphasizing speed, accuracy, and EVM.

In this Program Planning role, you will support the Lockheed Martin Space Program Planning organization by providing functional support as a Program Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME) that deploys to programs across Mission Solutions to support proposal, program start-up, and program execution planning activities. To be successful in this role, you must have a background in lab or program planning as it relates to the development and management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and its alignment with industry standards for program performance management compliance You will be an ideal candidate for this position if you are detail-oriented and highly innovative to serve as a project manager who can translate business needs into solutions with current programs, projects, and initiatives in mind.

Summary of Key Duties: In this role, you will…

•Provide expertise that improves a program’s preparation and performance by instituting best practices through the program life cycle and providing leadership direction to the program planning team for successful program execution.

•Be responsible for program outreach and communication and building strong and effective relationships with program personnel.

•Utilize your high level of customer service and strong communication/networking skills to interface with senior and executive management as well as program personnel across all functional teams including Finance, Planning

Our level 2 employees typically have 3-6 years of experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of previous planning/scheduling experience

• Experience with a planning software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Open Plan, Acumen, One Pager Pro, Primavera, Excel or another comparable software)

• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts (such as critical path analysis, cost/schedule integration, performance metrics, program start-up activities, etc.)

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor degree

• Previous EVM Experience

• Experience performing critical path analysis

• Understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of a spacecraft/satellite program

• Understanding of the Program Performance Management Process

• Demonstrated competency in integrating cost/schedule

• Prior team lead experience

• Ability to work independently as well as part of an integrated team

• Excellent sense of follow-up and closure with attention to detail

• Self-starter able to operate with minimal guidance

• Desire and willingness to support dynamic proposal activities

• Excellent influencing and relationship management skills

• Excellent problem solving skills to identify and resolve challenges arising in dynamic situations

• Makes sound decisions quickly and efficiently, even with limited information or under time constraints

• Ability to communicate and work effectively across multiple disciplines

• Thrives in fast-paced environments and demonstrates a willingness to adjust to changing priorities

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $61,300 – $117,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
