Maintenance Electrician III

Job Description:This is a position in the Facilities Management department
that requires completion of an electrical apprenticeship or training
program, or licensure in the trade. Significant experience in a healthcare
setting is required.

Regardless of specialty, a Maintenance Specialist may be required to perform
other maintenance tasks as needed, such as minor repairs or assisting with
other projects.

Essential Functions

Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in the
hospital, including lighting, power, and control systems.
Performs regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to
ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
Troubleshoots and diagnose electrical problems and make necessary repairs.
Ensures all electrical work is performed in compliance with local, state,
and national electrical codes and standards.
Leads others in accomplishing work or projects.
Coordinates with planning and construction teams to ensure project work meets
the needs of the existing facility.
Works closely with other members of the facilities management team to
coordinate electrical work with other maintenance and repair activities.

Skills

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following established safety
procedures and protocols.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow
instructions.
The ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and
architectural drawings and plans.
Qualifications

Experience as a licensed or master electrician.
Demonstrated abilities in the area applied for.
A valid driver license may be required for this position.

Physical Requirements

Bending, lifting, stooping, crawling, laying, sitting, walking, climbing.
Use of hand and power tools, proper use of hearing and eye protection.
Exposure to extreme temperatures in nature, work in noisy or constricted
spaces, exposure to odors and smells.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate
dependent upon experience.$33.04 – $50.27
