Description:

The Microbiologist is responsible for performing environmental monitoring activities in 503A clean rooms, including sampling, plate reading, and data analysis. Key duties include monitoring and trending temperature and humidity conditions, participating in investigations, and developing systems and procedures. Essential responsibilities involve planning and implementing viable and non-viable environmental testing, preparing and sending samples for microbiological identification, reading and reporting environmental testing results, and initiating OOS or Environmental Monitoring Excursion Investigations. The role requires collaboration with the Quality Manager and QC Technicians to ensure the complete implementation of quality systems and environmental monitoring programs. Additional tasks include performing document and process reviews, assisting in receiving components and ingredients, participating in label printing and reconciliation, conducting in-process inspections, recognizing and reporting aberrant conditions, maintaining Good Documentation Practices, and following assigned SOPs. The Microbiologist will also perform QC duties, such as visual inspections and raw material inspections, as assigned by leadership.

Hard Skills

Bachelor of science degree in biological sciences required

Knowledge of compounding and pharmaceutical regulations

Understanding of USP requirements.

Must exhibit excellent attention to detail.

Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.

Good computer skills (data entry, Microsoft Office products, email, internet, HR Software systems)

Ability to work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Youngtown, Arizona.

Pay

$20 – $25 (Depending on experience)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday hours varies between 7am-6pm
