Non Sterile Compounding Technician

Job Description

The Compounding Technician is responsible for lab functions that may include formula and compounding record preparation, and compounding and labeling a variety of non-sterile compounded medications. All duties are performed efficiently and accurately under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Maintain a working knowledge of applicable pharmacy rules and regulations

Strong comprehension of USP 795

Have a strong working knowledge of pharmacy software.

Enter new compounds into dispensing pharmacy software

Prioritize and prepare formula and compound records

Compound medications accurately and efficiently

Provide excellent service to internal customers on the phone and in person

Assist in initial and continuous training of staff

Pull outdated medications for destruction

Restock supplies and keep pharmacy neat and orderly

Maintain compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements

Hard Skills

Strong comprehension of USP 795

Working knowledge of pharmacy software

Ability to compound medications accurately and efficiently

PTCB strongly preferred

Non-Sterile compounding open to techno trainees with solid retail or pharmacy experience

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Youngtown, Arizona.

Pay

$19 – $23 (Depending on experience)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday hours varies between 7am-6pm

Work Environment

Compounding Pharmacy, closed door.
