GENERAL PURPOSE:
Maintain all aspects of preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, spare parts inventory, and technical library of DC industrial lift truck equipment. Maintain compliance of lift truck repair budget, seeking ways to lower costs while maintaining equipment as per manufacturer specifications. Mentor junior maintenance mechanics assigned to lift truck repair. Work closely with vehicle operators and management identifying equipment damage to minimizing downtime. Ensure all vehicles are maintained as per OEM guidelines and product improvement publications, providing functionally safe equipment for operators.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of all technically advanced lift truck equipment. Must utilize best methods to insure timely return to service of failed equipment. Must be able to interact with operators to ensure understanding of equipment issues to facilitate repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair advanced AC/DC electronic control systems.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation as required per OEM standard.
• Initiate all OEM equipment upgrades/safety notices, as per bulletins ensuring all industrial trucks meet manufacturers guidelines.
• Responsible for maintaining adequate spare parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime. Must evaluate spare parts consumption to determine if junior maintenance associates are using best troubleshooting methods.
• Must maintain accurate record keeping, to include: work orders, OSHA compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Experience must include 3-5 years of progressive mechanical and electrical proficiency with industrial lift equipment.
• Must possess strong electrical expertise, with both AC & DC voltages up to 480V.
• Advanced knowledge required of industrial lift equipment controls and minor PLC troubleshooting.
• Exhibit strong working knowledge of hydraulic controls, pneumatic controls, and devices.
• Must have the ability to read/interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent welding, soldering and cutting torch skills.
• Operate all mechanic associated hand tools, electric powered tools, and pneumatic powered tools. Must demonstrate command of electrical/electronic testing equipment.
• Knowledge of spare parts procedures, and inventory control required.
• Able to utilize computer software programs for record keeping.
• Will be required to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to work at heights up to 80 feet with only required fall protection.
• Requires overtime work as necessary.
• Must be flexible to work any shift and/or weekends as scheduled.
• Ability to utilize and be certified in; the operation of all lift trucks, to include: walker rider, forklift, order picker, turret truck, scissors lift and boom-lift
• Exhibit the ability to work independently, safely and with limited supervision.
• Must place the upmost importance on working safely, and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others, at all times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in a warehouse environment, on a concrete floor all day.
Requires continuous, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance is necessary.
Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing (audio equipment), handling objects with hands and lifting to 50 lbs
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically
This role requires full-time in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.
