Position Title: Department Manager – Wine Steward

Department: Wine & Spirits

Supervisor: Assistant Branch Manager / Branch Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt (paid by the hour)

Position Summary: Manages the Wine & Spirits department in the branch. Responsible for receiving product, ensuring that aisles are stocked, clean and well-merchandised, following compliance policies and providing helpful customer service.

Key Tasks:

Follow state laws regarding the wholesale selling of alcohol (Restaurant Depot provides training and sets policies)

Ensure the department is ready for business

Keep shelves well-stocked with product

Build and maintain floor displays to highlight items

Ensure accurate price tags are posted for each item

Work with other branch personnel to attract new customers to the department

Help customers find relevant wine and spirits products to purchase

Communicate inventory needs and customer requests to buyer

Requirements:

Basic Outlook and Excel skills

Strong communication skills, multi-lingual a plus

Ability to lift/carry and stock shelves
