Genetic Counselor – Hybrid

Labcorp Genetics is seeking a motivated, self-starter to join a team of genetic counselors to support busy maternal fetal medicine practices in the greater Los Angeles area and remote support to a clinic in Vancouver, WA. This individual will be responsible for providing providing in-person and virtual comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling services while also having an opportunity to participate in educational and research initiatives within Labcorp Genetics.

Please note: this is a hybrid position; working both onsite and remotely. The Genetic Counselor will be required to work onsite in the Los Angeles area and work remotely/from home. However, this is not a 100% remote position. Candidates must be located in the greater Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate.

Schedule for this position will be: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm pacific time.

In this job you will:

Have the opportunity to provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications from an extensive referral base both onsite, and via video conference

Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues

Requirements:

MA/MS in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling

ABGC/ABMG certification or active candidate status required

Washington State genetic counselor license required or ability to obtain WA license

Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office

Pay Range: $94,000 – $125,000

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
