Heres what you will be doing – core job responsibilities:
Communication
Communicate effectively at all levels via phone calls, emails or in person
Provide clear guidance regarding HR related questions
Draft updates to HR documents as needed
Employee Relations
Assist, support, and successfully resolve employee relations situations
Have a strong working knowledge of labor and employment law practices in states we operate in, with an emphasis on California labor and leave laws
Recruiting
Assist with recruiting/hiring efforts including but not limited to resume reviews, per-screening of candidates, hiring events, generating/sending offer letters
Conducts initial interviews and scheduling
Support HR and Managers track progress through recruitment process, including reporting out on regular cadence
Coordinate setup and day-of logistics for hiring events
New Hire Experience
Coordinate and setup New Hire Onboarding days, support HR and Training team members as needed
Take point on New Hire Onboarding process including but not limited to facilitating uniform orders, Badge Appointments, Customs Boarder Protection (CBP) applications and additional HR Onboarding paperwork
Proactively share information and follow up communications to ensure successful start to new employee’s experience
Employee support
Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
Act as point of contact for all employee questions
Assists with Employee Relations issues
Build relationships with employees, supervisors and account management team through in-person and virtual interactions
Admin
Manage and Update HR Database
Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings
Data inputs into HRIS, ATS, and Confidential personnel files
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in in a variety of Human Resources functions including experience with Employee Relations
2-3 years experience as an HR Generalist
2 years of California Labor Law and Employee Relations Experience
Experience with recruiting, on-boarding, resume reviews, per-screening of candidates, hiring events, generating/sending offer letters
Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi task and manage multiple projects assigned
Be customer service oriented and solutions-focused
Proficient in office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Pay range of: $32.00 to $36.00 per hour depending on experience
