The Manager, Field Retrieval is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the record retrieval process. This position will execute all workflows required to retrieve medical records for our retrieval business. This role encompasses strategic workforce planning, oversight of field logistics, and driving staff productivity to meet organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a solid blend of operational expertise, leadership skills, and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
The Manager, Field Retrieval will maintain current knowledge and development trends in the medical records retrieval industry and lead implementation of innovative solutions in the field retrieval operations. The role will collaborate with other Episource medical records retrieval functional groups to develop, implement and maintain solutions and services that meet client requirements and Episource commitments.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage all field retrieval operations including all workforce, field logistics, productivity and provider engagement support management. Includes the necessary tracking and reporting at each stage of the process
Lead day to day operations of all field record retrieval and associated functions
Develop and track key KPIs across field operations to track strategic goals, milestones and accomplishments
Manage workforce planning and forecast staffing levels to meet service and productivity goals
Manage vendor relationships to facilitate collaboration and proactively identify opportunities and solutions with mutually agreeable impact and benefits
Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement solutions to drive improvements in operational quality and efficiency
Author, manage, and deliver executive level reporting, including weekly, monthly, quarterly status reports
Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
Manage workflow and training new hires

Required Qualifications:
4 years of relevant work experience in healthcare IT, management consulting, business operations or related field
2 years of experience rolling out process implementation
Experience working in a remote position
Experience delivering metrics and performance to senior leadership
Leadership experience with responsibilities for forecasting, scheduling and KPI development for direct reports
Proven solid understanding of operations, effective operations management and improvement methodologies
Proficient in MS Office with solid Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups)
Proven ability to be a strategic thinker with ability to structure, analyze and present complex ideas and data, as well as resolve complex problems in a simplified format
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders (across different geographies) and communicate well at all levels
Proven ability to make decisions under a high-pressure environment and reacts well to challenges
Ability to travel up to 15%-20%
Preferred Qualifications:
Managerial or Supervisory experience in medical record retrieval industry
Formal leadership experience with direct reports
Salesforce CRM
Experience leading a remote team

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
