Role Overview: Seeking a business analyst to document internal standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience act DORA
– Documentation Expertise: Proven experience in writing formal documentation that meets regulatory standards, Ideally within the financial services or asset management sectors
-Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks, preferably within the EU, but not mandatory. Willingness to quickly learn and adapt to requirements
– Information Synthesis: Ability to gather and synthesize information from various internal sources such as wiki, intranet, and other documentation repositories
– Areas of Focus:
— Capacity Management and Load Balancing: Document processes to ensure systems can handle peak loads and maintain operational efficiency
–Monitoring and Alerting: Develop documentation for continuous monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to incidents promptly
–Failover Testing: Create detailed procedures for regular failover testing to ensure seamless transition to backup operations
–Backup and restoration: Document robust backup and restoration processes to ensure data integrity and availability
–Incident Response: Develop TechOps / NOC Playbooks for incident response, including incident tracking and corrective action logs
– Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, and compliance teams.
– Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation
-Project Management: Basic PM skills to track progress and ensure timely completion of documentation tasks
-Communication Skills: written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex regulatory requirements in a clear and concise manner.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Regulatory Compliance Business Analyst with a focus on the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our organization’s operations and processes comply with DORA regulations. This role involves analyzing regulatory requirements, developing compliance strategies, and working closely with various departments to implement and maintain compliance measures.
Key Responsibilities:
– Regulatory Analysis: Stay updated with DORA regulations and interpret their impact on business operations. Analyze regulatory changes and assess their implications for the company.
– Compliance Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with DORA. Work with experienced management to integrate compliance strategies into overall business plans.
– Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current processes and develop action plans to address them. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
– Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments related to DORA compliance. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
– Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, risk assessments, and mitigation plans. Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities.
– Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on DORA compliance requirements. Develop training materials and conduct workshops as needed.
– Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, risk management, and other departments to ensure a unified approach to compliance. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
– Monitoring and Auditing: Monitor compliance with DORA on an ongoing basis. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

12-16 week engagement based in Newport Beach
– Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, with a focus on DORA or similar regulations.
– Knowledge: In-depth understanding of DORA regulations and their application in a business context. Familiarity with risk management and compliance frameworks.
– Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
