Actalent Services is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support one of our medical device clients with voice control integration for one of their products.

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop voice control software solutions using a third-party speech-to-intent engine. Key responsibilities include optimizing signal-to-noise ratio, enhancing speech-to-intent stages, and developing vocabulary. You will measure and optimize voice control system performance focusing on noise ratio, vocabulary accuracy, workflow usability, and risk assessment. Expand the voice control solution to include French, Spanish, and German languages. Write well-designed and testable code for exoscope/digital surgical microscope applications, troubleshoot and modify existing software for performance improvements, and develop code following the TDS software development lifecycle. Assist in developing software verification and validation procedures. Create and maintain comprehensive software documentation, including audio system architecture diagrams, design documentation, software build documentation, and identification of software licenses used. Support strategic technical roadmap initiatives, such as adopting AI-based ASR solutions, and ensure all development aligns with TDS quality systems and medical device development best practices and regulations.
