As part of the Business Consulting team, the Strategy & Operations Senior can expect to work on a variety of organizational development projects. This includes strategic planning, organizational assessments, performance audits, risk assessments, compensation studies, process improvement, KPI development, and staffing and organizational structure assessments, among others. This team primarily serves clients from the Public, Higher Education, Non-profit, and Tribal sectors. As the demand for Business Consulting services grows, you can expect to also work with clients from across our 30 industry groups. As a Senior, you will be an important part of an integrated team working on complex and important projects.

Responsibilities:
Prepares planning documents including budgets, work plans, document requests, interview lists, and kick off materials.
Conducts fact-finding activities such as document and data review, interviews, standards and best practice research and surveys.
Performs a variety of analysis including gap and alternatives analysis, SWOT analysis, data analysis, and financial scenario modeling.
Prepares written client deliverables such as preliminary findings and recommendations, draft reports, and final reports.
Prepare and at times present to executive or governing groups.
Works collaboratively with the team, demonstrating an understanding of client’s operations, industry, and personal circumstances.
Monitors internal and external deadlines and communicates scheduling to ensure timely completion of engagements.
Takes initiative to identify different ways to contribute to client work.
Travels to client locations to work onsite and periodically attend industry conferences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years’ work or educational experience required.
Advanced degree such as an MBA, MPA, or organizational development preferred.
2 years of related experience required.
Experience in organizational assessment, data analysis, program evaluation, and/or substantive quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable with ambiguity.
Able to understand problems, think critically, and identify creative solutions.
Able to accurately identify assumptions, constraints, dependencies, trends, risks, and opportunities.
