What is the job about?
Grundfos is seeking a new team member to join our Aftermarket sales team in the role of Aftermarket Sales Support.
In this role, you will support sales and project activities by providing technical support, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring prompt and knowledgeable responses for pumps, parts, and services. The Aftermarket Sales Support will play a crucial role in developing potential aftermarket opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction.
This position reports to the Head of Aftermarket, CBS Americas and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of our Hayward, CA service center.
Your main responsibilities
As an Aftermarket Sales Support, you will be responsible for the following:
Customer Support:
Provide Technical Support and resolve issues related to product selection, application, and installation.
Maintain and develop relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Sales and Quotation Management:
Prepare and follow up on quotations based on customer specifications.
Track the sales process from inquiry to order, ensuring all details are accurate and meet Customer needs.
Project Management:
Collaborate with Service team and Operations to meet timelines of assigned projects.
Monitor technical changes and ensure accurate documentation.
Make decisions related to project timelines, resource allocation, and technical changes to ensure successful project completion.
Product Selection:
Decide on the most suitable products and solutions based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
Quotation and Pricing:
Determine pricing strategies and prepare quotations that align with company policies and customer expectations.
Customer Relationship Management:
Make decisions on how to best maintain and develop customer relationships to increase sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
Technical Solutions:
Provide technical solutions and recommendations to address customer needs and resolve issues.
Your background
We imagine that you have:
A degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency using PC based tools (Microsoft Office Suite) and proficiency using SAP is an asset.
Relevant administrative skills and customer service experience.
Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information and apply good judgment.
Ability to work proactively, handle simultaneous projects, and anticipate situations and managements needs.
Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy of work with frequent interruptions and under the pressures of deadlines.
Experience working in the technical, pump or similar industry is advantageous but not essential.
Fundamental pump product and application knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment with a sense of urgency while maintaining a positive disposition.
Ability to present a positive, knowledgeable image to customers and exhibit sound judgment.
Ability to listen carefully to determine customer needs.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.
The pay range for this position is $77,250 to $106,708. Actual pay will depend upon skill set, experience, and location.
Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Hayward, CA.
