Autonomous vehicles need a supercomputer on wheels, its an AI & SW heavy computational challenge. There isnt an off-the-shelf platform which stands up to this challenge, so we are building our own. We need passionate, hard-working and creative people to help use pursue this ambitious project! The NVIDIA Automotive Software team has a key opening for a Senior Software Program Manager. This group is responsible for the delivery of the core development programs (DRIVE OS) which form the basis for all customer specific programs, the main development context for the generic Automotive development platform as well as new technology bring-up and development.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and isn’t afraid to roll-up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. You are a self-starter, with excellent interpersonal skills. You will support our software development teams, drive and track release & automotive safety milestones, handle software postings & communicate the plan across various Business Units!
What youll be doing:
Drive and track software release activities.
Implement and maintain ISO 26262 processes for Automotive Safety requirements.
Contribute to the software release cycle across development, hardware integration, SQA, and product management.
Define releases, manage features, bug fixes, testing, and documentation.
Develop and contribute to the DRIVE OS PM tooling roadmap and infrastructure.
Implement and support tracking mechanisms for Automotive SW Development KPIs (ISO 26262, ASPICE).
Manage risks and resolve issues impacting scope, schedule, and quality.
Improve and maintain processes related to product build and testing.
Regularly communicate program status and key issues to management.
Ensure processes and best practices are followed throughout the release cycle.
What we need to see:
5 years of Program Management or automotive software engineering experience.
BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Expertise in ASPICE and ISO 26262 safety standards.
Strong understanding of Automotive SW development KPIs.
Hands-on experience with scripting (Python, Google Scripts, JavaScript, REST APIs, Google Sheets).
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and technical presentation skills.
Led successful releases with short cadences in dynamic environments.
Experience managing global projects across time zones.
Proven ability to think strategically and tactically, delivering complex products on time.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
ASPICE assessment experience for MAN process areas or ISO 26262 assessment experience.
Previous experience as an Automotive software developer, enabling effective team mentorship.
Proficient with Jira and/or Jama, with the ability to build scripts to automatically extract and input data
Familiar with AGILE software development processes.
PMP Certification/training is a strong plus
The base salary range is 128,000 USD – 247,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
