Your Career

The Director, Worldwide (WW) Technical Solutions reports to the VP of Solutions Consulting and will function as the Technical leader for the WW SE Center of Excellence driving innovation and evolution across the global technical sales organization with a goal of increasing selling efficacy, improving productivity and driving revenue acceleration.

The selected candidate will work collaboratively across the WW Shared Services organization with responsibility for envisioning, building, and evolving the tools, processes, and programs needed to increase the productivity of the technical selling organization. Continuous improvements are required to meet the ever-changing needs of the business, the technical selling organization, and the evolving product portfolio.

Your Impact

Work closely with theater Technical Solutions leaders, Domain Leaders and Operations to drive productivity and capacity within the organization

Develop and evolve the technical solutions organization and structure to meet the needs of our customers across all sectors (Cortex, Prisma Cloud, and Strata)

Drive consistency in organization structure including job leveling, hiring, career progression, capacity planning and performance management

Own and drive key initiatives in the Technical Solutions organization including but not limited to skill gap analysis, upleveling and overall communication strategy

Continuously evolve the technical sales organization to align with our customers digital journey

Collaborate across multiple internal business partners, including human resources, product, finance, legal, compliance, and risk, to ensure the quality of deliverables

Flawless execution of key projects/initiatives across the various functions

Drive consensus and ensure that all parties are well-aligned on key initiatives

Develop and own outcome-oriented Technical Solutions initiatives that drive pipeline, sales and customer value with the Technical Solutions and Sales leaders to drive greater efficiencies and success globally

Define & develop innovative tools and processes to increase productivity in the field and offer a better Customer Experience

Identify and execute initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence by ensuring key projects have clear milestones, success measures, and operational plans

Drive team member engagement to foster a culture of development, influence, inclusiveness, and work-life experience

Your Experience

Alignment with Palo Alto Networks values (disruption, execution, collaboration, integrity, and inclusion)

Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering/Solutions Consulting role

Experience bringing new tools and processes to market

Ability to think strategically and operationally – define strategic outcomes, analytical approach, success metrics, operational path, ability to influence stakeholders to drive results

Possess a combination of strong management, technical and business acumen

Strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills, willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results

Industry knowledge of security product market trends and directional awareness of Palo Alto Network’s technology

Self-starter who thrives in problem-solving with little direct supervision

Ability to learn quickly with a high tolerance for complexity

Demonstrated experience in working directly with customers at senior levels within an organization, as well as working with industry partners and alliances

Ability to lead teams across in-direct reports and dotted line reporting structures ;Self-directed and possessing the ability to lead a cross-functional project from the ground up

Decisive leadership with a passion for the business and a proven sense of urgency

Forward-thinker who is highly focused and capable of creating an evolving strategy to anticipate and meet near and long-term development issues

The Team

Our Global Shared Services members support our Sales account teams to assist in large organizations migrations to more secure environments. Sales Enablement works to make sure that our sales relationships run smoothly, empowering the teams across the world.

As part of Global Shared Services organization, you affect time spent selling, win rates, and deal sizes. You support the Sales team by helping with what it needs to successfully engage and educate the buyer throughout the process. You are committed to your team’s success and enjoy pitching in to assist when it comes to solutions selling, learning, and development. It’s a true partnership, one built on creating the best cybersecurity solutions for each individual client.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $239000 – $278500YR.
