Interconnection Services Leads or coordinates projects to investigate, adopt, implement and support interconnection technologies and ensure compliance with tariffs.

Career Level: B3 Senior Business Support Requires specialized skills or is multi-skilled developed through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Likely to act as an informal resource for associates with less experience.

Key Responsibilities

Process Project Applications Processes and responds to inquiries and/or applications for specialized customer programs (e.g., net metering, solar payment); determines completeness of applications according to tariffs and company requirements; determines level/tier of project and whether more study is required before approval; coordinates with all parties to ensure completion of appropriate documents.

Project Planning and Support Works with project manager(s) to develop project scope, requirements, schedule and deliverables; develops purchase orders for PGE equipment for customer interconnection with grid; monitors, tracks and reports to management and/or senior staff and others on project status and milestones.

Coordinates project review meetings and other meetings, such as site visits for testing and commissioning projects.

Customer Support Tracks and assists in resolving customer issues; maintains database of issues and resolutions.

Coordinates with protection, metering and billing to facilitate smooth interconnection for customers; determines billing amounts and verifies payments made; resolves disputes and billing discrepancies. Develop and Communicate Procedures Develops and maintains manuals; analyzes and documents procedural changes and improvements for maintenance contractors; prepares emergency procedures for customers.

Clearly communicates operating/performance standards and procedures to customers, strategic partners, internal departments, consultants and contractors.

Participates in efforts of process improvements for Net Metering program

Education/Experience/Certifications

Education : High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience Preferred: Five or more years of utility experience with one year in in a technical field such as energy efficiency, metering, facility operations or other energy-related field or bachelor’s degree with one year of technical experience.

Compensation Range:

$26.15 – $39.23

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
