Position Description
The Contracting Services Department at MIT Lincoln Laboratory currently has 1 open co-op position for Strategy Support. The co-op term will run from January 2025 – June 2025. The Strategy Support resource will assist the Senior Manager, Strategy within the Contracting Services Department. This individual will provide administrative and logistical support to the Contracting Services Department (CSD) in creation and execution of CSD strategy and projects.
This involves support for a variety of functions within the organization such as assisting with regular portfolio and/or project reporting, project documentation and support of project team meetings, working with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop content for project communications and training, and updating the CSD SharePoint site as a central repository of strategy resources.
Duties include:
Assisting with portfolio updates regarding project status, project roadmaps, and overall dashboard reporting metrics for Department strategy execution
Distributing portfolio documents to Department SharePoint site and/or TEAMS for consolidated strategy resources; responsible for maintaining this central repository on a consistent basis
Assisting with enhancements to project management templates for continuous improvement
Attending project team meetings; helping to support prep activities and follow-on activities after these key meetings
Working with cross-functional SMEs within the Contracting Services Department to create content for project communications – which translate to PowerPoint slides, SharePoint site updates, etc.
Working with cross-functional SMEs within the Contracting Services Department to create content for project training materials – which translate to PowerPoint slides, training solution updates, etc.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program preferably in Business Administration, Business Management, Business Communications or a related field required
Self-starter and detail-oriented capable of independently tracking and following up on commitments
Strong Analytical/computer skills, a developed skill set with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within the organization
Proficiency in handling and organizing documentation associated with projects
Ability to summarize key takeaways from meetings (technical and non-technical) that can be translated into action
Demonstrated track record of effectively working with highly detailed documents
Demonstrated capabilities in presenting ideas written and orally are required
Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
