Position Summary

Senior Software Development Engineer – Inventory & Fulfillment will be a hands-on, individual contributor working on cutting-edge applications and products. If you possess extensive experience in the inventory and fulfillment space, consider joining in our CVS journey to modernize the fulfillment applications and migrate to enterprise grade cloud systems using open sources technologies – Springboot, Java, Kotlin, Kafka, Kubernetes, Hazelcast, Cassandra . As part of this journey, we are looking for SMEs who have extensive knowledge implementing these solutions. CVS Digital Organization is responsible for omni-channel growth in Health Care and focused on Digital first strategy across all CVS Health business units. You will brainstorm with architects, product managers, data scientists and fellow engineers to build data products used improve the health outcomes of millions of people. The right candidate will be a strong Analytical thinker and be able to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts explore and evaluate them systematically.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

Share your expertise in inventory and fulfillment backend work with Spring Boot, Java, CI/CD, Kafka, Kubernetes in a GCP environment.

Invest 50% of your time doing hands on coding using Spring Boot and Java along with 50% in CI/CD Harness in a GCP environment.

Review existing code and code defects.

You will be a hands-on, individual contributor working on cutting-edge fulfillment modernization and products.

Design and develop cloud scalable services in a containerized and CI/CD environment.

Work with Product and UX teams to be part of a team of engineers in developing elegant code, state-of-the-art customer experiences and build industry leading digital experiences.

Provide knowledge and engineering insight to guide early designs, accelerate project decision-making, and maintain close oversight of technical execution.

Collaborate in troubleshooting complex data, features, service, platform issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational issues.

Work closely with Platform teams when introducing new tools and technologies into development and CI/CD practices.

Automate Performance testing and building CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.

Required Qualifications

5 years of experience in Java/Springboot development including .

3 years of experience in Kubernetes and managing containerized deployments

3 years of API development experience

2 years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment and using DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience & certification on GCP and Kubernetes

Experience working with distributed caching technology and concepts.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 – $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
