Position Summary
The Rates & Pricing group’s mission is to expand Grant PUD’s rates and pricing capabilities to support its Strategic Plan objectives to “Maintain a strong financial position”, “Provide long term low rates”, and “Provide outstanding service to our customers”.
In this role, you’ll analyze and design utility rates, helping us balance operational costs with customer affordability. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop rate strategies, ensuring policy compliance while optimizing revenue streams. Essential Functions

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead Financial Analyst:
Responsible for the financial update and analysis of various Rates and Pricing Initiatives. Demonstrating commitment and behaviors that align with Grant PUD’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plan. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
Financial Modeling and development of cost-of-service studies
Modifying existing rate schedules and developing new rate schedules
Implementing new rate schedules, including coordination with Customer Billin
Researching and understanding regulatory policy affecting electric rate structures for Grant PUD Customers
Examining complex electric utility tariffs and contracts to support the above efforts
Collaborating with other departments to perform research and modeling to support prudent rate modifications.
Presenting to the Commission and other key stakeholders on a regular basis
Serves in the capacity as Project Manager on various Rates and Pricing Initiatives to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and successfully at various levels. Must be able to research and ensure thoroughness and move programs forward to meet established deadlines.
Works directly with the Commission through workshops and meetings to clearly communicate goals and intentions, to inform on initiative development and status, and educate on various Rates and Pricing tools and methodologies. Must be able to gather and interpret Commission intentions and implement Commission ideology into current Rates and Pricing Initiatives.
Demonstrate commitment to Grant PUD’s mission, vision, values, strategic plan, and Grant PUD/IBEW Local 77 Code of Excellence. The incumbent should be familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.

Maintain confidentiality on all matters of review and effectively communicate at various levels of the organization and externally as necessary.

Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working
Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours to your supervisor; and
Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your own safety performance
Senior Financial Analyst:

Required Experience and Education
Lead Financial Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field OR two years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Seven or more years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Public Utility, Treasury, data analytics, or related area.
Senior Financial Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field OR two years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Five or more years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Public Utility, Treasury, data analytics, or related area.
Financial Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field OR two years additional relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Two or more years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Public Utility, Treasury, data analytics, or related area.
Required License and Certifications
A valid State drivers license. Occasional travel to other Grant PUD locations is required.
Preferred
Experience doing financial analysis within the Utility industry
Experience doing rate or pricing design work
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge/advance knowledge in financial analytics
Knowledge/advance knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Applicable Washington statutes, policies, rules, regulations, and codes
State and Federal regulations, policies, and laws affecting the utility industry
Organization and prioritization
Problem-solving skills
Written and oral communication and presentations and preparing high quality research, reports, and other written work products
