For more than 118 years, Backus Hospital has been the primary source of healthcare services for much of Eastern Connecticut. Summary: The Breast Imaging Coordinator directly supports the Breast Imaging department and patients. Our Imaging Coordinators are responsible for communicating with patients pre and post exam, scheduling patients for a follow up exam, and walks patient through the scheduling process. They will be responsible for reviewing orders for accuracy, monitors pending biopsy results, takes radiation safety committee meeting minutes, and tracks statistics pertaining to Breast Imaging. High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred. Previous clerical or scheduling experience required. Two (2) years experience in a hospital or health care related field strongly preferred Experience with PACS and digital Technology strongly preferred. We take great care of careers.
