job summary:

Structural Designer needed in Morristown NJ to join a leading Engineering and Construction company. In this role you will work with a team to develop plans and prepare non-routine drawings with complex features using information from rough sketches, detailed engineering notes or brief verbal guidance. 5 years of relevant experience and expertise with Revit is critical to success in this position.

salary: $47 – 56 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

Plan and prepare detailed drawings by ing standardized drawing techniques from detailed sketches, verbal instructions and notes under the direction of an engineer

Collect initial drawings, calculations and design ideas from engineers, and combine relevant data into coherent and complete initial design models for review and modification

Apply company, client, and project drafting standards and procedures to draft control schematics, wiring diagrams and equipment connection diagrams.

Coordinate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and verify design details according to company standards and best practices

Provide a range of drawing production work including problem analysis, layout, detailing, and drafting on projects of substantial variety and complexity.

Perform drafting activities with designers and drafters in other disciplines.

Communicate and correspond with internal design resources and external clients and personnel

Execute design changes and project drawing revisions.

Maintain Revit and CAD proficiency and work toward mastering current Revit, CAD systems.

Performs other duties as assigned
