Senior Data Migration Specialist (DAM- Digital Asset Management)

At Cognizant we are seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist to manage and execute data migration projects for new DAM system. The ideal candidate will have experience with data migration tools, methodologies, and processes, ensuring accurate and timely transfer of data from legacy systems to modern platform Acquia DAM. They will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to guarantee that data migration activities align with business requirements and system capabilities.

Location: Remote (May include some travel to New York)

Responsibilities:

Plan and execute data migration projects, including developing data migration strategies, processes, and timelines.

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure accurate mapping of data from legacy systems to new systems.

Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using migration tools and scripts.

Validate data integrity, completeness, and consistency during migration processes through thorough testing.

Identify and resolve data migration issues, such as missing data, duplicates, or formatting discrepancies.

Create and maintain detailed documentation on migration plans, processes, and post-migration results.

Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards during migration processes.

Collaborate with database administrators and developers to ensure successful integration of migrated data into new systems.

Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years of related experience.

Experience working with Acquia DAM product stack.

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in data migration projects, including hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SQL-based processes.

Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and data modeling.

Experience with cloud-based migration tools and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Experience in migrating data for enterprise-level systems.

Salary and other compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $102,000 to $162,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizants discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizants applicable plans.
