About the Role

You’ll need to understand the big picture strategy and work with cross-functional teams and external partners

You are charged with identification and mitigation of safety, external theft and fraud trends within a specific store. This role will provide instore response and support focusing on immediate safety concerns, Habitual Offenders, and high impact external theft/fraud incidents through the use of company technology (CCTV, Incident Reporting, and AP related resources). This role directly teaches and trains Store Leaders and Brand Associates in the safe practices of effectively handling safety and external theft events, and the use of the Company Case Management and Reporting systems.

The Asset Protection Specialist reports to the on-campus Asset Protection Manager or an Area Asset Protection Manager. This role regularly interacts with Local Law Enforcement, diversion and outreach program and supporting comprehensive and detailed cases pertaining to habitual and aggressive offenders and provides expertise and partner with Law Enforcement to assist in the safe apprehension of these offenders. This role will identify, develop relationships and influence local community networks and outreach programs.

What Youll Do

Provides a high level of visible, overt presence to prevent loss and safety issues.

Helps drive a low-risk culture and contributes to shortage reduction efforts by providing a visible presence on the sales floor.

Maintains Physical Security of the store and supports with elevation of the customer experience.

Supports in proper handling of escalated customer situations.

Supports the investigative process; case initiation through resolution.

Makes safe apprehensions per Gap Inc AP guidelines.

Collects and communicates loss and safety related intelligence to stores and Asset Protection leaders.

Supports with education of store safety standards as they relate to security and safety procedures (Community Outreach, External Theft P&P, Active Threat, Emergency Procedures, etc.).

Maintains awareness by promoting available resources to your store team (Safety training, Open Door Policy, Code of Business Conduct Hotline, Brand Protection Program, etc.).

Who You Are

This role will be required to maintain uniform standards, inclusive of consistent use of body worn cameras.

They work closely with store leaders and other Asset Protection personnel to ensure all initiatives are compliant to Brand standards while maintaining a strong focus on making Gap Inc stores the safest place to work and shop.

Experience in high-pressure, multitask environment to drive results, coach, and collaborate.

Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and effective partnerships.

Demonstrates high learning agility, decision quality and professionalism.

Hourly Range: $22.50 – $28.10 USD

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
