Overview:

The Admissions Manager will oversee the admissions processes at two of our locations, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for prospective students and their families. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in management, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse audience, including parents, legal representatives, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Management and Leadership:

Provides information to potential students and their families about Gersh Autism and the advocacy process

Conducts screening and administers school tours to assess whether candidates are a good fit

Acts as the liaison with the legal team and attorneys through the duration of the process

Assists families with the admissions application process to facilitate a rapid enrollment process

Works with the academic team to facilitate a smooth transition in the school environment

Develop and implement admissions policies and procedures that align with Gersh Autism’s mission and values.

Client Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective families, providing them with information about our programs and services.

Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, lawyers, and referral sources to ensure a smooth admissions process.

Networking and Outreach:

Represent Gersh Autism at networking and sales events, actively promoting our services and building partnerships within the community.

Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance referral opportunities.

Data Management:

Track and analyze admissions data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Prepare regular reports for senior management on admissions activities and outcomes.

Compliance and Ethics:

Ensure adherence to all legal and ethical standards related to admissions practices.

Stay informed about relevant legislation and best practices in autism education and services.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions, sales, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management role.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.

Experience in the autism or special education sector is highly desirable.

Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Willingness to travel to networking and sales events as needed.
