Senior Custodian – School

Description

DDIs Senior Custodian is responsible for the general cleanliness and upkeep of the DDI buildings.

Pay Range: $17.34-$20.81/hour

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining internal/exterior cleanliness of assigned building(s)

Cleanliness and safety of entire building inside and out

Keep building stocked (paper goods, cleaning products, etc.)

Set up and take down all facility events

Assist in ordering of building supplies

All snow and ice removal

Off hour alarm calls

Minor maintenance (ballast, locks, shelves, move desks, etc.)

Open and close building

Operate buffing and stripping machines

Supervise and keep all custodians productive

Identify and track all annual cleaning projects (oil filters, belts)

Must be available for occasional evening/night/weekend projects as assigned

Qualifications:

2 years experience in building cleaning and maintenance

Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment

NYS drivers license and approved to drive DDI vehicles

Essential Requirements:

Life and carry minimum of 30 lbs. For 20 feet

Twist/kneel/bend/squat/pull

Stand on minimum 6 ft. ladder

Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
