6am – 12:30pm during the week

6am – 2:30pm every other weekend

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for distribution of clean linen, processing rinsed linen, and laundering other items, as requested. Dispense products requested by verbal, written or telephone requisitions for supplies. Identify and assign priority to emergency requisitions.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Basic computer skills required: e-mail (communicate -send and receive), mandatory education (e-learning), review schedules, policies and procedures, employee engagement surveys, etc..

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Manual dexterity. Must be extremely conscientious with regard to procedures. Ability to communicate effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:

Must be able to work in a confined area at times. Intermittent or frequent exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions. Many tasks are detailed, repetitious and slow. Must meet deadlines. Must

interrupt work to priority performs tasks. Hazards of working with detergents. Must accept pressure assignments. Belongs to Exposure Class I, which involves routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions, or secretions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Medium work: must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull. Stands or walks most of the shift. Appreciable effort or strain with frequent lifting. Some handling and pushing of equipment and carts required .

All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, vendors, various regulatory and professional agencies.

Expectations Exceeds Meet Below

Maintain assigned work areas and equipment in a clean organized condition to maintain required regulatory standards.

Ensure that par levels of clean linens are available to all areas.

Processes phone request appropriately.

Process and credit reject linen.

Maintain standard precautions and demonstrate proper handwashing.

Adheres to hospital confidentiality statement.

Utilize Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Adheres to hospital infection control policies.

Reports any equipment damage and safety hazards in the work environment to manager/designee.

Reports to work as scheduled and on time.

Completes assignments as scheduled.

Attends mandatory training.

Performs all other responsibilities as directed

Pay Range: $16.20- $22.00

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
