Our Liverpool, NY lab is looking for a manager to lead our ICP operations team. As a member of EAG’s leadership team, you will be part of creating a collaborative environment that partnerships with other operational groups in meeting customer demand while supporting company excellence initiative in quality and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of analytical testing client projects, including defining technical scope, coordinating with technical lab resources in the ICP group on requirements, prioritization of tasks, and data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
Lead client communication throughout engagements to define requirements and timelines on analytical samples, and ensure that the results address client expectations
Serve as client’s primary point of contact for analytical-testing projects
Interface with internal technical and commercial staff as needed to successfully complete engagements
Lead the definition of analytical testing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal technical staff
Coordinate lab resources for the effective execution of analytical testing, and ICP projects
Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
Meet with clients to clarify specific requirements of each project
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
Report and escalate to lab and commercial management as needed
Delegate project tasks based on staff members individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
Work with operations teams to manage and track customer samples
This position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Materials Science and Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Must have experience in all the following:
5 years of Operational knowledge of materials analysis techniques using ICP
2 years of experience in leading technical complex projects and working with available talent resources within the organization
2 years of experience in Providing consultant services to clients to select proper materials characterization to ensure high-quality results
2 years of experience in communicating technical scientific data from ICP instrumentation.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)
Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

Pay Range: $81,000 – $108,000 (Pay is commensurate with experience and degree of technical expertise.)
