Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities Serves as a working leader of three or more employees in accomplishing bartender work. Follows established procedures in operating a small full service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Assist customers by discussing customers by discussing beverages available, their content and mixing special drinks according to customer direction. Uses tactfulness and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: ability to lead or supervise employees engaged in bartending duties, AND ability to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, AND meet state/local age requirements (18 years of age) for the serving of alcoholic beverages by 10/7/2024, AND be physically able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is NOT in the Governments interest. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employees regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employees regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.
