Main Function:

Provides high-quality test results with a minimum of supervision.

Coordinates these services within & outside Thompson Health to meet/exceed the needs/expectations of our customers.

Actively supports the mission, goals, and objectives of UR Medicine Thompson Health.

Required Job Specific Competencies:

Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.

Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with fellow MRI and DI staff.

Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive info including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.

Actively supports hospital goals and imperatives and lives the CARES values at all times.

Demonstrates thorough understanding of MRI safety regulations for established MRI protocols.

Qualifications

Required Current, valid AART, NMTCB or RDMS.

A.A.S. degree required

B.S. preferred.

MR Registry within 1 year of hire.

Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire.

Demonstrated ability to perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging independently required.

Complexity of Duties:

Operates independently and/or with other Associates in the provision of MRI exams to patients within the health care system.

Utilizes critical thinking skills as necessary to prioritize patient care based on acuity.

Utilizes creativity and previous clinical knowledge to maximize diagnostic information.

Utilizes resourcefulness to maximize productivity of time and equipment.

Pay Range: $36.85 – $47.30

Starting Rate: Based on experience
