Job Description
Join us in these exciting roles of managing processes and procedures that drive customer satisfaction, quality, fulfillment, and direct material productivity savings. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to dive into the world of manufacturing, where you will assess, pinpoint and actively implement improvements. Additional projects may involve working with cross-functional teams that focus on improving the quality of production areas. You may utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies in driving improvement through the production area.

Report progress and status,
Use your academic knowledge to complete assigned project(s), deliver positive outcome, and contribute to the success of our team,
Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
Engineering interns in Grid Solutions experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as materials flow, manufacturing processes, fulfillment, sourcing projects, systems, analysis, design, quality, and reliability.

Expected Work Schedule:
Day/1st Shift (40hours weekly)
What Youll Bring (Basic Qualifications)
Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below.
Following majors accepted: Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and other Energy related majors will be considered,
Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process,
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process,
Must be 18 years of age or older,
Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships,
Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license,
Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business,
Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship,

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good understanding of problem-solving methods, root cause analysis and analytical skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner, both in writing and verbally.

The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr – $34.00/hr based on years of undergrate/graduate field of study completed
This position is also eligible for:
Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
