Your Day-to-Day:
The Quality Transformation Director responsible and accountable for mid- and long-term execution of the Quality transformation strategy of Global Operating Systems (GOS) quality. Leads cross-functional teams to drive tactical execution rigor in the identification and implementation of improvement ideas that will reduce internal and external quality escapes, improve Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and improve process yields.
Guides the organization in the tactical execution of activities from being focused on quality compliance to quality performance through the development of process capability framework which enables organizational maturity from inspection for product conformance to process performance.
Integrates across multiple functions as required to help define and translate the vision for quality process improvement initiatives to drive overall efficiency of QA & QC. Drive implementation of Divisional Quality KPIs, setting of measurable goals including the deployment of reporting tools and establishment of strong management operating system. Drive assessment of the control points in existing processes and drive improvements (area escapes, process performance), Customer feedback framework (delivered deficiencies, complaints, etc.), developing a robust management operating system to manage the quality aspects of the internal and external supply chain across the GOS organization.

Reporting structure (org chart, screen shot chart and add a box, matricx reporting of QA managers to this role (list all))
Drives the implementation of a customer focused management operating system that builds on capturing the true customer experience and translating customer feedback to actionable improvements inside GOS organizations.
Establishes strong sense of accountability for quality excellence in matrix environment.
Leads the strategic development and implementation of tools and criteria for a world class internal and external Supply Chain Quality organization. Drives the evolution of the management operating system to move the organization toward planned-in quality through urgent and relentless focus on top quality risk drivers.
Lead cross-functional teams in developing manufacturing readiness criteria to be deployed across the Westinghouse organization and drives integration of new criteria into the integrated launch process, Flawless Launch.
Develop, trend and report key quality metrics that measure the effectiveness of our quality management processes/procedures and identify opportunities to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Lead the identification and integration of DFM criteria, analysis tools, and design approaches to integrate process quality and productivity into all product launch activities in the internal and external supply chain.
Coordination of dedicated Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and Quality resources to assess current state of process documentation/work instructions, their suitability for the task and develop and implement appropriate improvements. Drive the application of work processes and standards to ensure high production quality and process efficiency.
Lead change management efforts to support improvement projects. Builds trust with the organizations responsible to implement and execute the improvements.
Monitor p ogress of assignments/projects and direct teams to successfully achieve established quality objectives within budgetary and schedule constraints.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
B.A. or B.S. degree in technical, or business area.
10 years in Quality Assurance, Regulatory or other applicable technical function.
Demonstrated quality transformation experience in highly regulated industry
Technical leadership in Quality disciplines
Operational leadership experience, power generation industry preferred
Working knowledge and application with international standards, national regulations, and industry standards such as International Standards Organization ISO 9001 and ISO 14001; US NRC Regulations 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21
