JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate Student Career Workshop Interns
Career Services is hiring 3 graduate student career workshop interns for the Fall 2024 semester and the Spring 2025 semester.
Interns will be trained on, prepare for, and deliver in-person and virtual career workshops to classes and student organizations.Topics include Career Services Orientation, Preparing for Career Fairs, Job and Internship Search Strategies, Interview Tips, and more. Working hours include training, preparation, delivery of workshops, and assisting with other operational, programming, and event-related office tasks assigned by full-time staff.
Competencies required for this internship include, but are not limited to, presentation skills, the ability to engage an audience, the capacity to work in a team, knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, knowledge of Zoom, organizational skills, and a passion for serving students. An in-progress or completed graduate degree is required.
Competencies preferred, but not required: experience with teaching and learning technologies; knowledge of Qualtrics.
Interns will ideally work 10 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. Pay is $15.00/hour.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
