JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Two NIH-funded post-doctoral positions in molecular microbiology are available in laboratory of Mauricio H. Pontes at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA.. We seek motivated scientists to join a research program focused on investigating mechanisms used by symbiotic and pathogenic intracellular bacteria to maintain cellular homeostasis and interact with their eukaryotic host-cells.

Design and conduct rigorous and original scientific research by designing, performing and interpreting experiments.

Actively participate in the writing of research manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.
Supervise and train graduate trainees and/or technicians.

Minimum qualifications
PhD with training in biochemistry, cell biology, and/or bacteriology.
Preferred
Demonstration of scientific productivity in the form of peer-reviewed publication(s).

Responsibilities

Salary and Benefits
Salary is based on NIH Postdoctoral Stipend levels and will vary based on levels of experience. Entry level-post doctoral scholars have an annual salary of US $ 56,484 and benefits.
