Description:
Responsible for supervising and supporting the overall functions of Support Services under the direction of the Regional Business Manager. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Document Management, Health Information Management, Customer Service, Credentialing, and Physician Orders functions of the agency. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and responsible for the daily responsibilities related to reduction in unbilled revenue.
Supervise the operation of the Physician Orders Specialist Department ensuring orders are generated and returned timely and are compliant. Departmental functions.
Supervise appropriate electronic medical records workflow related to the roles of Medical Records and Scheduler. Ensure updating of the patient EMR for the continuity of patient care, processing of claims and supply orders accurately and timely utilizing critical thinking skills.
Supervise the medical records team to ensure timely and accurate filing of documents into the medical record via appropriate software application.
Monitors and response to all requests from insurance companies, QIOs and regulatory entitlements including ADRs/RACs/CERTs within required time frame.
Supervise the operation of the Credentialing Department and the credentialing process to ensure staffing credentials are current and provided to surveyors and clinical collaboration partners in providing care in community facilities.
