SCHEDULE: 2:00pm – 10:30pm w/ rotating weekends

State pharmacy tech license as required

National certification preferred

Previous pharmacy experience preferred

Responsibilities

Works with Pharmacy Director/Pharmacy Operations Manager/Pharmacist in Charge to implement work flow and productivity measures that will achieve performance targets and customer expectations

Works with Pharmacy Director/Pharmacy Operations Manager/Pharmacist in Charge and pharmacy staff to execute Company Initiatives, Core Processes and Quality Initiatives to continually improve the overall quality of service to our customers

Works with Pharmacy Director/Pharmacy Operations Manager/Pharmacist in Charge and pharmacy staff to ensure the business unit is in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws/pharmacy regulations and PharMerica’s Corporate Compliance Program

Directs pharmacy staff on scheduling, purchasing, clinical matters and other tasks

Assist in managing pharmacy personnel issues in conjunction with Pharmacy Director/Pharmacy Operations Manager/ Pharmacist in Charge

Works with Client Services and Sales team to effectively communicate with customers (DONs, Administrators, Staff RNs) and resolve customer issues

Works with pharmacy management team to ensure implementation of daily operational quality and cost containment strategies (pre-pack, front-end process, cycle-fill, etc.) occurs on all dispensing and procurement activities

Works with pharmacy management team to monitor the purchasing and inventory supply for the pharmacy to ensure goals are being met (inventory turns, preferred products, generics, TI, controlled drug monitoring, etc.)

Performs other tasks as assigned

Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards

Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience

High-School diploma required

Bachelor’s Degree desired

Work Experience

5 years’ experience in long-term care, 5 years supervisory experience Desired: 10 years’ experience in long-term care required

Skills/Knowledge

Extensive knowledge of Framework: knowledge of pharmacy regulations; computer skills required

Licenses/Certifications

Pharmacy Technician License required

Behavior Competencies

Salary Range

USD $38.00 – $40.00 / Hour
