BLN24 is looking for a Contract Manager   to join our team.  

Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to oversee and manage federal contracts, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), government contracting practices, and experience working with various federal agencies. The role requires strong negotiation, contract management, and communication skills to support the successful execution of contracts from proposal through closeout.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Contract Administration

Manage the full life cycle of federal contracts, including contract review, negotiation, execution, modification, and closeout.

Ensure compliance with all federal contracting requirements, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other agency-specific regulations.

Monitor contract performance and deliverables to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.  

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract terms, conditions, and performance.

Conduct regular contract audits and reviews to ensure compliance with federal standards and company policies.  

Proposal Support:

Work closely with the business development team during the proposal phase to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements.

Review and provide input on pricing strategies, terms, and conditions to maximize contract profitability while minimizing risk.

Negotiation:

Lead contract negotiations with federal clients and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives.

Contract dispute resolution – participate in discussions to resolve disagreements between parties

Manage contract modifications, extensions, and renewals.

 

Stakeholder Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for federal agencies, clients, and internal teams regarding contractual matters.

Coordinate with program management, legal, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment on contract requirements and execution.

 

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure accurate and timely reporting on contract status, performance, and financials.

Maintain detailed contract files and documentation in accordance with federal regulations and company policies.

Provide training and guidance to internal teams on federal contracting policies, procedures, and best practices.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Contract Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in federal contracting, with at least 3 years in a contract management role.

In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other federal contracting regulations.

Proven experience managing complex federal contracts, including cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, and time-and-material contracts.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in contract management software (experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred).

Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or other relevant certification is a plus.

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with defense, aerospace, or technology-related contracts.

Knowledge of government procurement processes, including GSA schedules and IDIQ contracts.

Familiarity with government accounting standards and cost principles.
