Safety supervisors are responsible for the safety programs of individual programs and the organization as a whole. The Safety Supervisor will work across several programs and projects to ensure adherence to applicable policies and regulations. The Safety Supervisor will travel to project sites, conduct audits, and produce reports to increase safety measures throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
Supervises safety programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and financial losses.
Develops accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of organization.
Supervises coordinates safety activities, through subordinate supervisory personnel, to ensure implementation of safety activities throughout program.
Identifies and appraises conditions that could produce accidents and financial losses and evaluates potential extent of injuries resulting from accidents.
Leads and directs the work of other employees.
Typically has authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications
2 or more experience in Safety related position
Experience in supervising safety programs
Experience in supervising personnel in an industrial environment.
HS education
Pay Range
$85,000 – $88,000
