Obstetrics and Gynecology Nurse – Virginia Beach

Weekdays Only – Day Shift | PTO, No Holidays, No weekends

Job Description

Assist providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Coordinate care for antepartum patients, including follow-up testing or procedures, scheduling, physician’s orders, and hospital admissions. Orient new clinical staff by signing off on clinical competencies. Intake patients and assist with clinical inventory, including sterilization devices. Actively participate in research through data collection and development of ideas. Assist in the clinic with providers and nursing staff. Collect prior authorization for prescriptions. Monitor task queues and maintain clinical competency in areas of responsibility to ensure quality patient care. Review patient lab results and imaging studies, discuss abnormal findings with the physician, and follow up with patients regarding treatment prescribed by the physician as necessary. Promote the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the medical group and the department by becoming familiar with and complying with policies and procedures. Contribute to the well-being of patients by serving as a positive role model and demonstrating a professional, caring attitude and behavior towards co-workers, patients, and guests. Attendance, as assigned, is essential to meeting required performance duties. Rotate to other locations as needed. Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
