HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician

Job Description

The Commercial Technician will drive a company vehicle to and from customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently, solve problems quickly and efficiently, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation: Setting up refrigeration systems, including HVAC units, refrigeration storage units, ice machines, and beverage equipment.

Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.

Repair: Troubleshooting and fixing issues with refrigeration systems, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions.

Compliance: Ensuring all work adheres to local building codes and safety regulations, especially when handling refrigerants. Cleaning driving record required.

Client Interaction: Communicating with clients to understand their needs, providing cost estimates, and advising on equipment upgrades.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical degree in HVAC-R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) is often preferred.

Certification: HVAC certification and possibly additional certifications like the EPA license for handling refrigerants.

Shift & Pay

Standard work hours are 8-5pm.

Pay for this role is between $58,240.00-$72,800.00
