We are growing our locations and are investing more than $2 billion into establishing a new large-scale manufacturing site for biopharmaceuticals in the United States to accelerate the growth of our Bio CDMO (Contract and Development Manufacturing Organization) business. This will be the largest end-to-end cell culture CDMO provider in North America.
The new site will offer end-to-end solutions to our customers looking to manufacture biopharmaceuticals in the US. In addition to drug substance manufacture, it will also provide automated fill-finish and assembly, packaging, and labeling services. The new state-of-the-art facility is located in Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States.

About This Role
Establishes and controls manufacturing operations within a functional area. Leads communication for Manufacturing goals and vision across multiple levels of staff. Focuses on product delivery, regulatory compliance and leadership in addition to employee development. Accountable for establishing and achieving area KPIs.
What You’ll Do
Leads the group in goal attainment with a high degree of attention to detailed execution
Collaborates with support groups to achieve production targets, KPIs and meet the associated timelines
Manages process changes in support of overall cGMP compliance
Oversees and supports area Supervisors and Associate Managers as they focus on personal and team development
Manages and owns departmental budgeting, monitoring overall fiscal performance for their functional area
Actively leads regulatory inspections as a representative of their functional area
Interacts with clients on a frequent basis while executing day to day manufacturing activities

Basic Requirements
Bachelors degree (BA / BS) in a related field
8 years biotech / pharma experience
Prior experience managing, leading and developing people
Preferred Requirements
Bachelors degree (BA/ BS) with emphasis in life science or engineering
Masters degree 6 years experience in a similar role in a large pharma / biotech environment
6‐10 years experience in pharmaceutical / biological manufacturing operations.
Previous experience leading and developing leaders (Managers / Supervisors)
Experienced working in a changing, project driven organization
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Will work in environment which may necessitate respiratory protection
May work in Mechanical/Production spaces that may require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program.
Ability to discern audible cues.
Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, etc.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to conduct activities using repetitive motions that include writs, hands and/or fingers.
Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to 10 pounds.
Ability to bend, push or pull, reach to retrieve materials from 18” to 60” in height, and use twisting motions.
Will work in heights greater than 4 feet.
