Job Title: E/I Technician

Job Description

E/I Technician will perform repairs, installations, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of electronic and pneumatic instruments, and facility systems. Examine and troubleshoot equipment to diagnose the source of problems, offer solutions, perform repairs, replace broken or defective parts, and make necessary adjustments for operation. Participate in safety meetings, reviews, investigations, and HAZOPS on an as-needed or required basis. Work overtime, shift work, and provide off-shift coverage as needed. Foremost, ensure that the facility and equipment are maintained in proper and safe operating conditions to fulfill production requirements. This is done by following all work instructions, equipment procedures, quality standards, general maintenance standards, and safety rules and regulations. PCS Technicians will safely maintain the equipment, machinery, and infrastructure required to satisfy customer requirements.

Hard Skills

Instrument calibrations on quality, safety, and PSM systems

Troubleshooting processes or equipment issues

Electrical installation check-out and turnover for capital projects

Experienced with instrumentation

Electrical – Allen Bradley PLCs, PLC 5 RS Logix, Rockwell Automation

24V DC calibration

Calibrating instruments

Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting

Repairs on transmitters to test level, temperature, and flow

Work Environment

Industrial Chemical Manufacturing environment – non-climate controlled, older equipment. Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday, on-call rotation based on team size (currently every 5 weeks on call from 3pm-6:30am for a week). Dress Code: Long sleeves, long pants, steel toes, safety glasses.
