Responsibilities
Set up operations of manual and automated equipment, including drills, lathes, grinders/finishers, welding, oxy/fuel, forklifts, saws, shear, break, and flight press machines.
Work from process sheets, blueprints, or other instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks.
Maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts manually or with a crane.
Setup, operate, and tend machines used to manufacture components.
Install, align, and lock dies, punches, blades, or other machine fixtures for safe operation.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Check and inspect operations against predetermined tolerances.
Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
Cross-train in other areas or departments as assigned.
Qualifications
Engaged individuals who are adaptable to changing environments
Must be physically able to handle heavy items
Ability to consistently stand for an entire shift
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus
Ability to work in a team setting
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Education Requirements Credential Category
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
