THIS POSITION CAN BE HOUSE IN JACKSONVILLE OR LAKE CITY

This position is responsible for the Department programs related to property and equipment, including tangible property accountability/inventory, records management, fleet management, and insurance policy coordination.

Duties

Work directly with field staff to coordinate and provide policy guidance on property and equipment requests.

Receive and affix inventory control tags to coincide with the Department owned equipment.

Collaborate with program offices/field staff annually to ensure property inventory is accurately accounted for.

Provide policy guidance to program/field staff to include; property surplus and disposal processes, public records storage, access and disposal processes, Vehicle fleet maintenance, acquisition and surplus.

Provide information to coordinate insurance policies on department buildings and equipment at the appropriate levels of coverage.

Serve as liaison for the Department with other state agencies on day-to-day property and equipment management issues.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position :

Principles and practices of property inventory and accountability, supply inventory, records management, fleet management and insurance policy coordination. Understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Utilize problem-solving techniques. Analyze and identify operational and/or management problems. Develop various reports. Communicate effectively. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
