Job Description

Execute planning and coordination of Military SATCOM missions in support of the Joint and Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) Program equipment to include Military and Commercial SHF Communications Systems.

Job Duties:

Responsible for tracking and updating information pertaining to active and future SATCOM missions.

Coordinating ASI outage requirements with impacted units and Regional SATCOM Support Center (RSSC) and Standardized Tactical Entry Point (STEP) sites.

Create, analyze and process Gateway Access Requests (GAR) for future missions and changes to existing missions.

Participate as consultant, advisor, or member in various communication planning and working groups.

Analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions to future communications and automation operational challenges.

Submit Satellite Access Requests (SAR) in Joint Integrated Satellite Communications Tool (JIST) for future missions and changes to existing missions.

Coordinating with units to update POC information and assist when necessary in SAR/GAR process and planning for current and future operations and exercises.

Provide copies of GAA for the JEXC2 program to support new builds, upgrades, and system troubleshooting efforts.

Abide by all applicable federal, local and state occupational safety and health requirements.

Security Clearance REQUIRED :

Applicants selected for this position at a minimum will require an active DoD Secret clearance and background screening

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

3 years’ experience and strong understanding of the Military SATCOM secure systems with preference of Joint Expeditionary Operations

Ability to author SAR/GAR requests and submit changes or corrections when necessary to COCOM and Theatre Commands.

Ability to demonstrate proficiency in satellite communications principles, technical analysis, and problem solving.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex problems.

Understanding of IP Networking, logical layers, and Ports/Protocols management.

Knowledge and Education:

Associate level degree in any technical or managerial discipline. Experience in Military SATCOM planning or Project Management Professional (PMP) may be substituted.

Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) policies and directives.

Job Type:

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position with days and hours of work from Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (subject to change), for a total of 40 hours per week.

Minimal travel required < 5% annually
